Magic

Magic plays a rather ordinary role in the world. While the military uses it heavily, it is still very common for others. The only downside to being a magic user and not being part of the military is that the military has access to grand libraries not open to the public. These can provide knowledge to the common magic user that are far beyond normal magic. Arcane Magic is less common then Divine, considering that the Gods have a high influence in the world.

Arcane Magic is achieved almost always through study, rarely being born innate to non-magical creatures in the forms of the Sorcerer, Bard, and Summoner Classes. While these Classes do exist, they are uncommon. Wizards, Magi, and Witches, are much more common, because anyone can pick up a book to study it.

Divine magic is much more common then arcane magic just as a whole. Divine magic is most commonly achieved through prayer, via the Cleric and Paladin Classes. It is less commonly achieved through bonds with nature, via the Druid and Ranger Classes. Rarest of all Diving casters are the Oracles and the Inquisitors. They are both born with innate Divine magic, chosen by a specific god before birth. The Oracles are sent as prophets and and guides to further spread the awareness of their Deity, while Inquisitors are sent to hunt down those that oppose their Deity.
